The 84th CMEF: Breakthrough of medical technology under the global fight against the epidemic

From May 13 to 16, 2021, the 84th China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) was held at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center with the theme of "Innovative Technology, Smart Future". As the first global medical industry event in the post-epidemic era, the exhibition attracted nearly 5,000 brand companies to participate, with an exhibition area of ​​300,000 square meters, focusing on displaying more than 30,000 innovative products, holding more than 70 professional forums, and more than 100,000 on-site visitors.

1. Public health and epidemic prevention products become new highlights

Mobile medical waste disposal shelter: The emergency treatment equipment developed by Keju Biotechnology and China Aerospace uses high-temperature cooking technology to achieve on-site disposal of 2.8 tons of medical waste per day. It has been used in Wuhan Leishenshan Hospital and has obtained three national patents;

Intelligent epidemic prevention system: United Imaging Medical exhibited the "Sky Eye CT" equipped with an AI pneumonia recognition system, supporting 300+ cases of efficient screening per day;

Vaccine cold chain equipment: Haier Biomedical displayed an ultra-low temperature storage box, breaking through the bottleneck of -196℃ deep low temperature storage technology.

2. Domestic high-end equipment technology breakthroughs

Imaging equipment field

Mingfeng Medical released the Quantum Eye 512-layer CT, using a 16cm true spherical wide-body detector to solve the problem of cone beam artifacts;

United Imaging launched the world's first 5.0T whole-body magnetic resonance uMR Jupiter, realizing ultra-high field whole-body clinical imaging.

In vitro diagnostic technology

Fosun Pharma launches EOS full-body skeleton 3D modeling system, which completes 1:1 full-length spine film shooting in 20 seconds;

Mindray Medical releases MC series AI blood cell analysis system, which increases the efficiency of film reading by 50 times.

3. Policy-driven industrial upgrading

Special forums such as "Chinese medical devices going overseas" were held at the same time as the exhibition. Data showed that the market share of domestic CT in 2021 increased by 37% compared with 2016, and the localization rate of DR equipment reached 85%. Sinopharm Medical Devices released the "Yingmaitong" smart medical alliance solution to promote the coordination of primary medical resources.

2021CMEF is not only a demonstration of the strength of anti-epidemic technology, but also marks the strategic transformation of China's medical industry from "single point innovation" to "ecological coordination", providing a Chinese solution for the reconstruction of the global medical supply chain.
